Welcome to Matuga Technical & Vocational College (MATVC)

Matuga Technical & Vocational College (MATVC) is a Public Technical and Vocational Training Institution established under the Ministry of Education, State Department for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET). MATVC was launched on 27th July 2024 by H.E Dr. William Ruto and officially opened its doors to trainees in September 2024.

Nestled in the heart of Kwale County, MATVC is strategically located just a few meters from the Matuga Sub-County Headquarters. Surrounded by key landmarks such as the Affordable Housing Project (AHP – Matuga), Matuga Sub-County Hospital, and Kwale Boys High School, the college is easily accessible and provides a peaceful environment for learning, complete with scenic views of rolling hills and the refreshing coastal breeze.

Backed by the government’s commitment to the TVET sector under the Kenya Vision 2030 initiative, MATVC has quickly gained the support of leaders, stakeholders, and the community. Guided by its motto, “Pathway to Excellence”, the institution has become a beacon of hope and opportunity, particularly for learners pursuing demand-driven trades.
